Binge Watching New Girl & A Petition for Ending Animal Abuse
Being sick sucks major bum. Being sick with Netflix, eehhhh, not so much. Yesterday, since my school closed due to excessive windchill, I started to watch New Girl. Can I say that I am completely addicted (just look at my twitter feed to see). Jess is completely awkward and not afraid to be herself, which is a character trait that I adore (if only more people would pick that up). Schmidt is a sweet douche sometimes, but I love him because he's ridiculous and funny! Nick is cute to me, and that frown that he always wears makes me amused (very much so). Harhar. And last but not least, Winston (or according to that little boy, Lebron); he is me in a nutshell, only the male version.
Let me just forewarn you guys that you can be expecting a lot of New Girl gifs over on this side of the blogosphere.
Whew! And now that I am done spewing on about that, I want to talk to you all about a cause (and petition) that I would love for you guys to support (it's free!). This cause is about a zoo in Indonesia named Surabaya. It is essentially a zoo for large animals to go to die. Recently, a giraffe died after eating a beach-ball sized wad of plastic food wrapper (that accumulated over years of trash being tossed into his living arena), due to the fact the zoo allows the animals to become malnourished and uncared for. The below picture is a Bengal white tiger that is missing an ear and has spinal problems. Moreover, this tragedy doesn't end there. To learn more in depth about what goes on at the zoo, visit this website.
All I am asking of you guys is to take two point five seconds to click over to this site and sign the petition. I am all for ending animal abuse (which is one of the main reasons why I do not support circuses with animals). If you love animals and think that this abuse and neglect over at Surabaya needs to be changed as well, then please, please sign this petition! You can do it publicly or anonymously. 106,865 other people are supporting this cause at the moment, and the goal is to get 43,135 more! It would be seriously amazing if you guys would support this cause--not for me, not for the creators of this petition, but for the ANIMALS.
And I'm out.
