Apps On My iPad Mini

By 10:00 AM , , , , , ,

I have three electronics that I use on a daily basis (usually). (1) My iPad Mini, (2) my smartphone, and (3) my laptop. They are the only three things that help me get throughout my day. For one, they all hold my music. Secondly, they all help me interact with the world via social media and this here blog. I take numerous photos throughout the day on my iPad Mini, phone, or Canon; I write blog posts to be posted sporadically throughout the week on my laptop; I share photos that give an insight to my life on Instagram (or not, usually they are just selfies ;) via my phone or iPad Mini; I live-tweet during my favorite shows (hello, Teen Wolf, Pretty Little Liars, and The Fosters!)via my laptop or phone. Electronics help me throughout my daily life, regardless to what the older generation says. "Get out and play and get off of your phones!" "Teens these days can't go a day without [fill in the blank]." It is ridiculous. I, for one, can...well, let me rephrase that sentence. I could go a day without an electronic. I have done it before. Sure, it is quite refreshing, but I get bored quite easily. Unlike most people my age, I tend to stay sheltered in my house. I love going out and doing stuff, but most times I like time alone and others with my family.

This post is not to rant about electronics, though. I just wanted to give you all an insight to what I use on a daily basis. I tend to go from top to bottom (the order in which I list them) each day. Some days I might mix them up, depending on how I am feeling. These apps are on my iPad Mini, however. I will someday share the apps that I use on my smartphone for you all non-iPhone users {go us! Sike - I want to join team iPhone!}.

a) Bloglovin' - When I first wake up, the first thing that I do is open the Bloglovin' app. I love catching up on all of my favorite blogs. I usually only take 15 minutes in the morning to read during the week (I go back later on in the afternoon to finish catching up), but on the weekends I tend to take an hour to an hour and a half to read (I follow so many blogs!). It makes me happy to read about blogger's days and thoughts.

b) Tumblr - I have an unhealthy obsession with this website (my grunge blog). It is filled with a bunch of nice people (with some assholes, too) that I have a lot of similarities with. Besides that, it is just an entire other blog, only full of photos that really represent what I like, quotes, witty comments, hilarious gifs, and why-the-hell-am-i-on-this-site type of posts. I generally love getting on this site second, but I try to limit myself because I could be on this all morning, which kind of makes me late for school. Oopsies? (And y'know I had to find something to screenshot that was suitable for my blog. Haha. Tumblr can get a little...r-rated.)

c) I like to check my calender after all is said and done. Knowing what I have to do throughout the day, or thinking about what I could be doing in preparation for the following days helps me get my life/mind in order. Also, if I think of anything that morning, I like to add it so that I won't forget it throughout the day. This new app called Sunrise is my favorite calender ever. I have been looking for a calender app with a nice interface and whatnot, and this one fits the bill perfectly. It is so simplistic and easy to use! You just hold the day that you'd like to add an event to, and fill in the information from there. If you want it to be a "to-do" type of thing, just press the little button before you start typing the title of the event, scroll down, and select "to-do." Or if you have a dinner, lunch, meeting, birthday, holiday, etc, all you have to do is the same, or type it in. For instance, if you type "Christmas," a little tree will pop up. It goes like that. It is very simple and I highly recommend this app! Oh! And you can integrate it with Google Calender, iCloud calender, Twitter, etc, and receive invitations. Yep, it's niiiiiiceeee.

d) Wattpad - This book reading app is one of the best out there, aside from Kindle and Nook. There are about a million free books on there to read, the community is great, and it's just overall amazing. I love to catch up on the updated books whenever I wake up and throughout my day. Although not all of the books on the site are good, there are some honest-to-God great ones on there. One day I might just write a post of all of the books that I think that you should read. And you can trust me because I don't read books with horrible grammar, a plot that I feel is going nowhere, or terrible wording, etc. As you can see above, some of the good ones are 'The Exploration of the Male Anatomy', 'Bad Boy Isn't My Type', 'Enjoying The Chase', 'Bye, Bye Virginity', 'Mr. Popular and I' (in progress), 'Be(lie)ve Me, I'm Lying', Vanilla, 'The Bad Boy, Sat Nav and Me', 'Just Married' (in progress), 'Holding Out for A Hero' (Teen Wolf fan-fic, but really good!), and 'Work For Me' (in progress). Why I am giving you an entire list of books to read, I don't know, but go onto Wattpad and read! I promise you will not regret it. I'll have a future post with books to read up...probably next week.

e) Instagram - You can follow me at my handle here. I usually get on Instagram when I get home from school, unless I feel like snapping a quick photo before I leave from home. I don't typically have enough time to take a photo in the morning because I run late (I like to sleep in, okay!). You should go and follow me, though! :) Well, actually, do it at your own risk of seeing selfie after selfie after selfie.

f) Vine - Do it for the vine, do-do it for the vine. I like to watch Vine before going to bed so that I can go to sleep laughing. Some of the guys and gals on here are ridiculously funny! Oh gosh. I love to watch them. KingBach, as you can see above, is one of the guys that I follow and you need to follow him, too.
