Dear Future Me,
Dear Future Krishaun,
I don't know why I am even writing this right now. Or at all, for that matter. This is one of those posts that randomly spurted in my head, and I was all, "hey! that sounds not stupid." So, yeah - here I am. The entire point for this "letter" is so that I can ask, and give advice to, my future self for when I am sixteen (so, I'm going to read this in eight months (yay! my lucky number). yep). Some of these may be stupid to me by the time May rolls around next year, but who knows. I might as well give this a shot, so here goes.
One / I hope you have found new (and better) friends that your last batch. Friends that are your real friends and aren't the type who'll turn on you in a matter of [false] words. Y'know what I'm talking about. Even if it is only one, or two, or three...I hope that you have found some good people to hang out with.
Two / I hope your music interests are still so freaking awesome. I doubt this'll ever change about you. Do you still like Sleeping With Sirens? Avril Lavigne? Adam Lambert? La Dispute? Luke Bryan? Randy Houser? Who are some of your favorite bands right now? I hope you haven't abandoned your musical interests simply because a lot of people from where you're from thinks that it is "weird". Don't let them influence you like that. Like what you like purely because you like it. Oh! And I hope you're planning on going to Warped tour by now, or the Faster Horses Festival. I didn't get to go this year (although I won a VIP Ticket), but I think it'd be awesome if you get to go. If you get the opportunity, GO! Find somebody, somewhere to go with you.
Three / I hope you still don't hate Renaissance. You still have (by then) two more years in the school, and hating it will only make it worse. Mature up, you. :) It's not cool to hate what you can't change. (Haha, I feel like my future self should be telling my old self this.)
Four / Did you take up any new hobbies or sports? As of today, I want to learn how to ride Western, as well as learn how to sew my own clothes, but who knows where I am going to be by the time you read this. Do you still swim? Are you volunteering at the animal shelter more frequently now?
Five / Summer is once again approaching. Live it like you've never lived before. Go on trips, go to concerts, go camping - have fun. Be with your family and friends, pig out at bar-b-que's, listen to music, and dance like nobody's watch (hah, so cliche).
