Hair Products + #BackThatAzzUp
Hi, everyone! It's Friday and I am very happy today. For two reasons actually; 1. my vacation to Florida in two days (!), and 2. it's Friday...that's reason in itself to be happy. So I figured that I would do something short, sweet, and different for this here blog. I am going to be sharing with you all some of the products that I use for my [curly] hair that I believe works. This is something that I have not done before and I don't know if it'll be a recurring type of post here whenever I change my hair products (I doubt it). Nevertheless, let's get started.
Aunt Jackie's Curls & Coils - Curl La La (Defining Curly Custard) I really like this product. It goes on white, but clears up after application. I would highly recommend this product based on the fact that it is not that expensive, and it does what it is made to do: defines curls, whether coily or elongating them (although it's a little bit more difficult attempting to keep them elongated).
This is how a section of my hair looks using Aunt Jackie's hair cream. It gives me loose curls and I love it.
Organics Carrot Oil Cream I love this product. It is meant to help damaged hair (which my hair is not anymore), but I use it just because as well. Would I recommend it? Of course! It's a really good product because it does not make me feel as if the entire world is slathered on my head; it's a light product.
I prefer using the product over the others because...well, just look at how it defines my curls.
Beautiful Textures Curl Definer Styling Custard This product is good. It helps define the curl and it is not heavy on the head, but I have one problem with it. It flakes up. I find white stuff on my hair after applying, and I hate that. So if it were solely based on that, then I wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise, it is a good product. It also lasts for a long time!
It looks frizzy in the photo, but it's not really like that.
World of Curls Curl Activator This product is good. I mostly use it to throw my hair up into a ponytail, but I still like it. (Don't base whether or not to get it on that; my hair does not really work when it's down unless I want to spend a lot of time on it.) It's light, and makes my hair feel really, really soft. I highly recommend.
With that being said, what products do you use?
(Psst: Sorry about the horrible quality of the photos. I don't know why they look like that, but whatevvvv.)
Instead of adding a song choice at the bottom today, I'm linking up with Whitney with #backthatazzup Friday. Have a fab weekend, y'all!

Hi, I have naturally curly hair too! My hair right now is long (tail bone length) and thick and I only flat iron it about 4 times per yr in the winter months. I have a whole closet full of hair products (a bit of a junkie lol). I haven't tried any of these curl definers but I do use the Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie which I like. I live in Toronto but travel a lot! I have a travel section if you want to check it out http://diaryofatrendaholic.blogspot.ca/p/travel.html I went to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in May and next week Friday I am leaving for Paris! We are staying 2 mins away from the Eiffel tower so that should be fun. I will be posting while I am there, hope you check it out.
ReplyDeleteI have been to Florida many times, I love Miami, it feels like home away from home to us.

I seldom flat iron my hair. Haha, I hate doing that. And okay, I'll look for that. I'm always interested in finding new curl enhancers. And haha, yesss. Florida is like my second home. When I get back from vacation, I'll be checking your blog. Can't wait to see what you post.
