Catch Up + Sunday Health Goals

By 9:00 AM , ,

During the old Sunday Health Goals posts, I used to catch you up on my thoughts, things that I was looking forward to, and my likes of the week. I am going to still be doing that, but in a more organize way. The catch up will be organized into my favorite song of the week, favorite show of the week, best moment of the week, what I am crushing on, what I am excited for, and what I am addicted to. These will help me quickly sum things up instead of going on, and on, and on, and on.

Below those, I will continue on with my [health] goals of the week. To keep things interesting, I'll also be doing non-health goals as well. My focus will be mainly on the health ones, though! So, let's get this show on the road, eh? (Oh! And feel free to share any responses to ANY of the prompts below. I would love to hear from y'all.)

This song gives me chills. It's really amazing, but it's really depressing. The song is a cover of City High's original. I don't want to start anything (unlike on the Youtube video where people are going crazy!), but I prefer Bastille's version. I...well, I just do. It's better in my personal opinion.

Supernatural! That show has been my go-to this week. Dean and Sam, oh why oh why are you guys so gorgeous. I mean, you're seriously 80% of the reason why I even watch the show. C'mon now! That should be public information by now. Scary shows and movies are just not my thang. (Of course, unless I am with someone else, that way I can have someone else to laugh ridiculously at my fear with me. You heard that right - I laugh at my own fear. Someone call Radley ASAP, and yes that is a Pretty Little Liars reference.)

My favorite moment this week was the entire time I spent at Cedar Point with my mom, sister, and Jackie. It was a seriously cool, laidback, and fun day! We all got on every roller coaster within 15 minutes except for the Dragster (a 420 feet, 17 second long ride), which took us a good 45 minutes. In that 45 minute time span of waiting, I nearly had a heart-attack out of fear, but it's okay guys! I'm still alive. No roller coaster (no matter how tall!) will defeat me. (Remember the episode of Spongebob when Spongebob and Patrick rode the Fiery Fist of Pain? The Dragster is the hella tall part!)

Using scarves to accessorize during the cooler months is something that I am known for. I'm looking to add more colorful and graphic prints to my stash. Charlotte Russe is having a Buy 1, Get 1 deal on all of their scarves, so hurry up and grab some from their store! They have a lot of cute ones! (This is not sponsored.)

Tomorrow! I love summer holidays because they are a reason for my family to get together and barbecue. I know that you do not technically need a real reason to barbecue, but it's not an everyday thing that all of my family gathers. When it does happen, then I like to soak it in. (But I'm mainly excited for the grub, haha!) Oh! And happy early Labor Day! Use the day to relax, y'all! (Especially students - grr, we go to school the next day. Oh well.)

The entire 5 Seconds of Summer album! That has been the main thing that I've been listening to over this past week. Well, that and my custom EDM playlist. I just like music, okay?

1) Eat more fruit and drink more water.
Expansion: I want to start eating more fruit as snacks. It'll (1) help curve my hunger when I am extremely hungry, and (2) will aid me in not stuffing my face when it is time for a larger meal such as dinner. As for the water bit, I am aiming to do this because I want my skin to stay moisturized during the colder months. As the coldness of the seasons set in, your skin naturally gets dry, and I hate this!  Drinking more water will also help with not overeating. (Did you know that when you think that you are hungry, sometimes you are actually just thirsty?)

2) Finish AP-English Packet before Wednesday.
Expansion: I have been working on the packet since last week. Sort of. Y'know how I say that I am a huge procrastinator? Well, that describes exactly what I did last week: procrastinate. But the packet is not due until Friday, so I'll get it done! I promise! (I'm saying this to try and convince myself actually.)

3) Go thrift-shopping.
Expansion: Ever since I came back from California, I have had an avid addiction to thrifting. I am not talking about eBay. (Obviously because I've been addicted to that since last summer.) I am talking about legit thrift store shopping! The thrill of possibly finding something really cute or worthy of a second chance is motivation enough to get my butt out and do it.  If I come up empty-handed, then I'll possibly go to Plato's Closet because I know that I can always find something from there. (Hopefully the thrift shops have something, though!)
