My First Tattoo

I got my tattoo! FINALLY. 

Please do excuse my hideous knees in the photos. Harhar. But oh my gosh; getting a tattoo hurts! I am not saying, "It's just a little pinch," which my sister actually told me. {You lied to me, Kristian!} I am talking hand clenching, teeth gritting, trying-not-to-cry type of pain. {And make note that I only got it on my thigh.} Another factor in how bad getting tatted hurts is your pain tolerance, which by note, mine is very low. I also hate needles, soooo....yeah. In the long run, I do not want to discourage anyone from getting a tattoo because of the pain. I say this because after the crazy pain, I honestly do love my tattoo and am glad that I got it. Sometimes the things you love really do hurt. 

 I have been looking up little aftercare facts about getting a tattoo, and am desperately trying to adhere to some of the rules. The only difficult part that I am encountering is the shower one. Okay - no scrubbing, I got it; no direct water, understood; no hot water or steam, gotcha; no long showers, I do comprehend, sir.  Is any of this easy? Eh, not really.  I mean, how do I not get my leg directly wet in the shower? And um....no hot water, what? I suppose it's all a learning process {very slow, mind you}. Thank goodness it will be over with shortly.
