More and more lately, it seems as if my interest lies in controversial issues and debates. I wrote about same-sex marriages last Thursday. This post is about rape. I am not going to be writing about it in particular. Instead, I want to show you all a video that I have recently found on Tumblr. This video is beyond good. It's a video of four college girls reciting their poem entitled "The Rape Poem To End All Rape Poems."

This poem is the most wonderful, relevant one that I have heard in a long time. I think that more people need to hear it. Rape is an issue that needs to be spoken about more (although it seems to be spoken out against a lot). No matter how irritated people may get about this topic, until it gets better, then the subject need not to be put on a hiatus. Rape does not need to be pushed onto the back burner, making it another "just-there" subject that happens daily, yet never gets breathed into a breath of air.
