Super Bowl XLVIII and a Sexy Glow

By 6:15 PM , , , , , , , ,

It's Super Bowl Sunday! I am really excited. {As you can tell by the tone of my writing. Har har.} Football is my favorite sport, actually, but that doesn't say a lot because I don't really care that much about sports. I watch them at times with my dad and sister, but aside from that, you won't catch sports on my TV.  Well...that is until this particular day comes (usually). The last time that I was really into the Super Bowl was when the Packers played the Steelers (and the Packers won!). Ever since then, I haven't really cared all that much.

The main reason that I love watching the Super Bowl is because of the commercials. They are extremely hilarious! But $4 million for 30 seconds still bewilders me. Seriously--I wish that I could make that in my entire lifetime. Another reason that I love watching the Super Bowl is because of the halftime show. This year, my baby Bruno is performing. Can I get a Lord Have Mercy. Where's Uncle Jessie at?

I cannot wait to see that.  Besides that and those commercials, I don't really care what happens. But, heck, why not root for a team? I'm going for the Seahawks (much against my dad's chagrin).

Anyways....

Today is Sunday, so that means a check-in for my weekly health/workout goals and stuff. This past week, I have been focused on eating smaller portions during meals. It has worked out really well (except for once when my mum and I had Pad Thai and she made baked mac-n-cheese, which was so good!), and I think that I am going to keep implementing that into my diet plan. The way that I ate smaller portions was a 'one plate only' rule. No more than one plate. If it cannot fit on my first plate, then I don't eat it. Simple!

For my exercise, I did Zumba quite a bit this past week. It was fun! And on Friday, I partied, which I think burned me a ton of calories from the way that I was dancing. Haha. So, yeah. Dance/Zumba is my workout regime, and I think that it works out pretty well. Calories burned (check), sweat (check), can feel the horrible burn (check). Those are the three things that I look for to know if I am getting a good workout.

This week, I want to start eating slower. I am looking to last up to twenty minutes for my meals. Generally, I am a very fast eater. I fill my plate, sit down, and am finished within eight minutes. It's a shame. If the food is good, I most likely will want to eat it very fast {hey! that's a compliment}, but in the long run it is not very good.  With my one plate only rule, it is easier to not become so stuffed, but still. In case a food is heavier than normal, I want to give my body ample time to let me know that it is full and that I should stop eating. You get me? I know you do.

So what's your goal for this week? And are you as excited for the commercials and halftime show as me, or are you more into the game (oops?)? Or what about that Puppy Bowl? Haha, I so dig those adorable cuties!
