Going Back to the 1980's in music

By 8:13 PM ,

I reckon that I was born in the wrong decade. This thought seldom crosses my mind, but when it does, it is purely because of music. Every time that I hear an amazing band or artist, I start to think, "what the heck? why do we not have music like that now!?" Music such as Frank Sinatra (but we do have a nice Sinatra of this time), Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Bon Jovi, Bob Seger, and Joan Jett + the Blackhearts are some of my favorite oldies (I like their new music - who's alive - but I like their old songs more). A new contemporary jazz singer from the 1980s has made his way onto my lists of favorites. I adore his voice and his music - it is simply perfect. His name is Bobby Caldwell.

As of this moment (literally), I am listening to his album Cat In The Hat on replay. It's impossible to not love the songs on this album. My favorite song would have to be Wrong Or Right.

Song Choice: 'Things Are Changin' ' by Gary Clark Jr. From his 2012 album, Blak and Blu (Deluxe Edition), this song is simply amazing.  His voice is unique as well as his wondrous music. I first heard about his music today (July 13th, 2013) from Shay Mitchell's blog. Upon listening to it, oh my, I fell in love with it! It's darn near impossible to not.
