This outfit is breezy, casual, and perfect for a simple day, walking around. I purchased this top from Dots before they went out of business {I am still very sad about that.}, and I am extremely glad that I got to it right on time. The split (which, btw, took me forever to get a good photo of) is my favorite part of the shirt besides the colorful aspect. I believe the shirt also came in purple and a few variations in color, but I decided to get this one simply because it'll be perfect for the summer.
As I am writing this post in advance, if I am not mistaken, I wore this to church on Easter Sunday. They say come in white, but of course, I cannot do that. White, blue, yellow, and green call my name. ;) Harhar.
The only thing that I hated while taking these photos was how difficult it was to capture the white pants. I mean, c'mon! They blend into the background for gosh's sake. Aside from that, I really do like these pictures. {Oh! The gold embellishments, such as zipper/buttons, on the pants are not photographed. They are the reason why I selected these gold wedges.}
Today, my family and I are leaving to visit Tennessee. We will be visiting Tennessee State (an amazing college that you must visit) and doing some fun excursions. For this outfit, I paired a striped, mini skirt with a peach colored tank, and my new leather jacket. Since it is only spring and the weather is not hot, hot yet, I wanted to throw a little something around my shoulders to keep cool.
While away on vacation, I am planning to take a lot of pictures. For live-time updates, follow me on my instagram (savaxge) and twitter (sayhellodoll). Have a good day, y'all!
It's Friday, and I am too dang happy. Tonight is my school's Grammys, and then later after that, my friends and I are either going to go out to eat or to the Grammy's after-party. Who knows what we will get into. What I do know is that next week is supposed to be in the fifties, and that knowledge alone simply makes me super happy. {Like, pop-that-thang happy.} Aside from that, today should be a good day.
I wore this outfit to school two days ago (on Wednesday) when they let us dress down for "Spring Fling". I don't know why in the world they called in Spring Fling because that is essentially what you call a party, but whatever; let's just go with it. Anyways, I bought this dress fromDebs (love, love, love), and it is one of my most worn spring/summer dresses. The color and shimmer is wonderful! The only negative comment that I can say about this dress is the slip attached to it falls down a lot, which means it looks weird through the dress, and I have to constantly pull it up. No bueno! The boots I bought {or rather, was gifted to} from Payless. These are my second pair of the same boots (as my grandmother threw away the first by accident!). I recommend them wholeheartedly as they're very comfortable. If you go to purchase, you have the option between the boot for the wider calf and the slimmer calf. Although I could have worn the wider calf, I selected the slimmer calf simply because I liked the look better. It's all opinion based!
