California is An Experience to Remember

By 1:32 PM , , ,

I am finished! Yesterday was my last day of Psychology, and today was my last Sociology class. It's all like a fresh breath of air. I can stop stressing about finals and presentations. I can celebrate with my friends without feeling the pressure of studying. I can finally relax.

Spending my summer at Stanford has been eye-opening. It is an experience that I all always remember. I have met people from all over the world, ranging from Dubai to Italy to Turkey to Spain to Mexico to Canada and back to the states. I've spent a good amount of time exploring San Francisco, Palo Alto, San Mateo, and other places nearby.  The parties that I have went to have also be extremely fun. We had an EDM themed one, Club Faison, and a Hollywood themed one.  We also had a bunch of pool parties, golf-cart adventures, projector rentals, truth games, procrastinations from studying, mini-PLL parties, cursing the name of the spawns of Satan (the lanyards), catching the Caltrain, catching the bus, Wal-Mart adventures, my water bottle addiction, and dance "twerk" sessions. Oh gosh. This summer has been perfect. I'm going to miss it.

A lot of lessons have been taught this summer.  Most of them include school-related things such as not procrastinating so much (or else you'll end up like Luca, who did three consecutive all-nighters), studying what you need, etc. Others include things like not being afraid to open up to new people, have fun and don't worry about what others think about you, taking the bus and train is not a hard feat, etc. Most of these lessons can (and will) be brought back with me to Michigan.
