Quirks of Mine
I think the struggle that a lot of people have is embracing their quirks. Quirks [defined as 'a peculiar behavioral habit] are something that I feel we should embrace wholeheartedly. I know that I love all of mines. Some are funny, and others are seriously weird. Regardless to what they are like, I smile and try to not feel ashamed by what others may deem "seriously weird" or "freakishly crazy." Quirks are what helps to make someone...well, him/herself.
Here Are Mine
|One| I stick out my tongue when I smile a lot. If I do not know what I want to do in a picture, or I have a time on, which gives me more time to contemplate my pose, my tongue goes out on instinct.
|Two| I say 'LOL' outloud sometimes.... Instead of just laughing like any normal person would, I actually say the acronym. Hahaha. I'm kind of getting better at this, but it still happens occasionally.
|Three| I get super emotional over television shows. Is that weird? Probably. ;) Harhar. Last week's episode of Teen Wolf made me legit, legit cry. I burst out in tears and my hatred for Jeff Davis increased by 5 million (although I still love him for even creating the show). Applied gif below was totally me last week.
|Four| I correct people's English and grammar whenever we are in a conversation or I am reading something that I wrote. I am a Grammar Nazi, sue me! I am trying to work on this, but it is reaaaaaaallllllllyyyyy hard. Do not say "So, she don't..." *PAUSE* It's "She doesn't."
|Five| I end my declarative sentences (which ends with a period) with question marks sometimes. I do not do this when I am writing a paper, but if I am texting my friends, and I mean to say something that is definite, a question mark is still added at the end as if I am unsure. Such as on Sunday, I sent a text message to my friend that said, "Precious, don't forget to bring the folder tomorrow?" I half meant that as a statement and half as a question. I wanted to remind her, but kind of wanted to know if she was still going to do it.
|Six| I interrupt people sometimes to fill in the blanks of what they are saying. For instance, if both my sister and I were both involved in an event, and she decides to recap what happened to my mum, she sometimes (read: a lot of times) forget to tell pertinent information. So, well, I kind of blurt out "and yada yada" around the part that it happened. Everyone generally gets annoyed when I do this, so I'm attempting to zip my mouth shut, but it's kind of hard. Hahaha. Sowweeee.
|Seven| I hate paper cups! Ewwww. I guess I am a glass snob, but I dislike drinking out of paper cups. One, I always chew the cups, which leaves a gaping hole on the side, and two, it feels weird.
|Eight| I am too honest. The other day {More like awhile ago, as this was written back in March.} when my mum and I were at McDonald's, I ordered a McChicken and a side of small fries. They gave me two McChickens and a medium fry. Wellllll, I told her that I only ordered one McChicken and a small fry. Let's just say that my mom was bewildered. I can't help it! Telling the truth is what was instilled in me as I grew up, so it's a habit now. Besides, I don't bother telling lies nowadays because the truth will always get out. So, there's that...
