12 Things You Didn't Know About Me
Every once in awhile, I want to a do a little post so that you all (and any newcomers - hiya!) can get to know me better. I feel that it is very important for everyone to know who is behind this little 'ole blog {pssst! just know that it is a real human and not just a computer!}. This is a post that I have been thinking of creating for awhile, but never got a chance to write. Luckily, I read a post off of some blog last week (I seriously forget) and that motivated me to write and hit that publish button. Okay! Who is ready to learn about this girl:
Twelve Facts That You Most Likely Had No Clue About Me:
1. I have a bad online shopping addiction. It's bad, guys. Really bad. Every week I get an allowance. And guess what happens to that money? Hahah. If you guessed "she totally spent it!" then, my good fellow, you are correct. {I am giving this up for Lent, though! Let's see if I can keep to it.}
2. I want to be a Veterinarian or a Vet Tech. Since I was a young child, I have went through numerous ideas of what the heck I'd like to be in life. My first choice was to be a vet (up until the eighth grade), then I wanted to be an Interior Designer, then I wanted to be a Detective, and then I wanted to be an Interior Designer/Architect. Well, now I am interested in Veterinary Medicine once again, but who knows where the heck my interests will take me.
3. I cannot go a day without listening to music. I am pretty sure you guys figured this out already from the way music is deeply integrated with this blog, but for those who are still clueless, it's true! When I am brushing my teeth and doing my hair in the morning, music is playing. When I am on the way to school, music is playing. During school, music is playing (unless I have an uber butthole teacher). On the way home from school, I listen to music. When I do my homework, I listen to music. When I partake in Zumba, I listen to music. And finally, when I go to sleep....well, I watch Friends or Full House, but that's not the point {besides, I used to fall asleep to music}. Just know that I will be very cranky if I cannot listen to tunes sometime throughout the day. Music is my safe haven.
4. I hate Benihana. Their sauce is horrendous, and I just cannot. Plus, I have an odd feeling about sitting at tables with strangers...while I eat. Yeah, no thank you; I will surely pass. The last time that I went, I just sat at the table and drank my soda while everyone else grubbed on their food. Oops? It's just not my taste.
5. I have not had my first kiss yet. This one is semi-embarrassing to admit, but I haven't! The time just has not come yet. Is it kind of weird that I am almost sixteen and still a lip virgin? A little. But guess what? I don't care. I'd prefer to wait for my first kiss than to have it with someone totally irrelevant in my life. However, I would kind of like it soon, so there's that...
6. I can rave and gush so much about a guy that I like, yet never talk to them. I am an awkward nina. Oops? I hate this about myself, but I just feel too awkward, shy, and nervous to talk to my crush. It sucks and I am planning on changing this soon, but as of now: still a wimp.
7. I hate to talk on the phone. Do not call me....EVER. Unless you are dying and this is your last breathe, do not call me please. Text, e-mail, IM, InstaDM - I really don't care, but please, I beg of you, do not ring my phone. It's kind of backwards, I guess, for me to have a phone and not talk on it, but whatever. There are too many awkward pauses and "what do I say now?" type of moments during phone conversations that I would rather just surpass. Anyways, my phone is broke now (I cannot talk regularly without it being all static-y and annoying; I have to put it on the speaker), so I force my friends to text me now. {Not like Treasure listens to me anyways...} (note: I finally got a new phone! I loooove it.)
8. I eat tomatoes like they are apples. My addiction once got so bad that I started taking them to school. People still think that I am very weird just for eating tomatoes by themselves, but like an apple? Haha. I'm a lunatic. Hahahah no no. Try it! It's really delicious!
9. I still love cartoons. Whoever said that cartoons are only for children is a liar. I still love Spongebob and Rugrats. Care to tell me differently, you have to right to kiss my *ahem*.
10. I want to be a country girl so bad. By this, I mean that I want to live down south and have a boyfriend that owns a pick up truck. Harhar. I wish that I were kidding, but I'm not! I want to go tailgating, drink a bunch of beer, attend rodeos, sleep in a pickup truck underneath the stars, not have to deal with a gruesome winter (not that the South is any better this year), and ride horses all damn year. Okay, most of this you can do anywhere, but I want to go down south to partake in these things. Sue me.
11. I am looking forward to life away from home, but I am also deathly afraid. I never realized that the years would actually fly by so darn fast. Although I still have two more years at home, time just seems to be flying by sooooo fast. For gosh sakes! My sister is about to go to college in a year. What? When did all of this start to happen? I am so comfy where I am at, with everyone that I am near. Packing up my stuff and moving far away to attend college, without my mom, dad, and sister, seems so scary. Like, oh my.
12. I do not sleep underneath my bed covers. Okay, okay, feel free to judge here. I grab separate blankets and sleep underneath those. The main reason that I do this is because I am too lazy to make up my bed in the morning, but do not like having a messy looking bed, so I decided to not sleep underneath the sheets. Problem solved. Moreover, I sometimes do sleep underneath the sheets, but in the morning, I usually only half-way make up the bed. It'll take me a few days until I feel like making my bed up again. This really does sound ridiculous now that I am typing it out, but I am a very wild sleeper, so it takes too much time that I do not feel like exerting to make my bed up again. Oops. #sorryimnotsorry
