Strive For Progress, Not Perfection
I am kind of ashamed to say that I sorta, kinda forgot that today was Sunday. This week(-end) has all been a sporadic blur, and I just want to sleep. That's what the weekend is for, anyways. However, this weekend has not been all about sleep (sadly). I've been going out to eat way too much (Dave & Busters, Outback, Menchie's--an amazing frozen yogurt shop that I just discovered and loveeee--, and Bangkok Kitchen), spending a lot of time with my friends, going to the mall, and working out. On the off chance that I did get a chance to sleep, it was only for a brief amount of time because once I woke up, I was up. There was no chance of me dozing back off to sleep, which essentially sucked arse.
But this is not a recap post (because hello! It's Sunday, not Monday!), so let's get back to the reason why this post is even being wrote: health. This week, I guess I can say that I fell off the bandwagon of working out, buttttttt I ate a lot healthier! Regardless to when I went out, I limited the intake of what I ate. For instance, when I bought Taco Bell, I ate two tacos (or was it three?) instead of four [Um, it's Taco Bell, guys.], or when I went to McDonald's I got a McChicken and a Medium fry instead of a McDouble. It's progress, guys. I actually have started to get a small fry, but I just really wanted more fries that day (sue me). And Thai food (Bangkok Kitchen)! Yes. I bought that yesterday and actually stopped myself from binge eating it all by stopping myself at one plate. Can I get an award? Harhar. And since I know that I am going to finish eating it all today, I am going to split the rest of the meal into two (I already ate some, and am planning to finish it a little bit later).
As for working out, I did twenty minutes one day this past week (my memory is shot at the moment, so I don't know which day). Yesterday, even though I was honest to God tired, I pressed on and did my usual 30 minutes of Zumba, plus fifty jumping jacks at the end. I guess I was just a little more motivated yesterday. Who knows. Who cares. I did it. Plus, I did some extra dancing while I was downloading music, so that counts for a workout, right?
This week, I am going to try to hop back onto my exercise regime and continue to eat like what a badass I am. Harhar. Who's with me?
