One Thing To Give Up: Meat

By 8:30 AM , , , , , , ,

I have been thinking about something that I could do to motivate myself to start working out and eating healthier this year. Since I know that it will be quite impossible for me to just give up some of my favorite foods all at once, I am going to start implementing a tiny diet plan for myself. Each week, I will give up one thing. One thing. I could give up meat, junk food, juice...essentially anything that I want to. For one entire week, I will not eat that thing. The following week will be fair game, but hopefully I will not splurge on the food that I denied myself the previous week (hopefully).

The reason that I am doing this is that I want to start eating a more balanced diet. I want to prove to myself that I can be dedicated enough to not do (or do) something for an entire week, which will lead to me being motivated to implement that diet for a longer time period. The problem for me is that I eat too much and eat unhealthy crap. That's the main thing. Another problem about being healthy is that I do not typically feel motivated to get up and do a work out (but once I am dressed and up, it's easy). To get that moving, I am going to buy some cute workout clothes and force my butt to go to Zumba classes (or just do it in my living-room) or dance to some Youtube workout videos.

Every Sunday, I will report in and share with you all what I am giving up that week. Feel free to join in or even mention something for me to do the following week in the comments! So that's my pathway to getting in shape. What's yours?

That's right. I, Krishaun, am giving up meats for a week. My parents and I have been talking about going on a veggie and fruit diet (essentially giving up meat) for a week. I don't know about them, but I am giving up meat for this week. Sure, it may be really hard, but so what. I am determined to do it!
