Tattoos That I Find Intriguing

By 10:00 AM

Whether someone should get a tattoo is a topic that I think can only be based on one's own judgement. Personally, I want a few (on my ankle, side of the torso (basically a little under the armpit), wrist, back, and foot).  However, others may not want any at all. The thing is that nobody should feel entitled to decide what somebody else does with their own body.  It is not their right. They have their own body to make decisions about (on certain things), so do they feel as if they have the right to decide the same for someone else?  I do not believe that is right.  Society is a big hypocrite on certain subjects, and yeah, body image is one of them (in terms of tattoos, weight, looks, etc.)  Society figures it can determine what someone does (or does not) get on/do to their own body.  Seriously.  That confuses the hell out of me. Okay, yeah, sure, I get that society is an arsehole, and judges everyone, but c'mon now. I think it is about that time in life that everyone minds their own business and not worry about what someone does (unless it is pertaining to them). Life would be much easier, simpler, and altogether better if people would mind their own P's and Q's when it concerns someone else (on certain things).

I am not writing this post as a rant - anything but that, actually.  It is just happening to come out like that.  My mind was - and still is - set on sharing with you all some tattoos that I am planning to get within five years. I may or may not change my mind on getting some of them, but they are what piques my interest now. (BTW: These are not the spots that I necessarily want these tattoos.)

I refuse to sink. / This is a saying that means a lot to me.  It's essentially a reminder that even throughout all of the crazy, hard things that goes on through my life, I refuse to sink. I will keep my head above the water, and stay positive throughout life.
Rewind, Pause, Play, Fast Forward, Shuffle / I love love love this tattoo simply because of it's reference to music and life (if you think about it).
Ohana / Ohana means family.  Family means nobody is left behind or forgotten.  I have never forgotten that quote from Lilo + Stitch, and it is honestly my favorite.
Ying Yang / This represents the good and bad parts of life. I don't know why I love this so much, but I do, and if I were to get any tattoo, it'd be this one.

Elle vole avec ses propres ailes. (She flies with her own wings.)
Revez comme si vous vivrez pour toujours. (Dream as if you will live forever.)
Veni, Vidi, Vici. (I came, I saw, I conquered.)
Audax at fidelis. (Bold, but faithful.)

So, as you can see, I am more so interested in written word tattoos than drawings, but I find words provide a deeper meaning for me (not that photos can't because remember: a picture speaks a thousand words.) The first two (out of the four last ones) are in French, while the last two are Latin.

Do you want any tattoos? If so, what do you want them to be of/say? Or do you already have some? If so, where and what is it of?
