Tips On: Online Shopping

By 11:52 PM ,

I was feeling a more of a laid back style today. It really helped with the fact that I was playing with the twins today. Oh, and while many of my family told me that they were getting hot just by me donning a sweater, I was very comfy. Haha. The t-shirt dress is just something that I found in my closet that is years old.

Online shopping, Hi, guys, sorry that I did not post yesterday, but I was away with my family at Cedar Point. As I am currently catching up on The Fosters (an amazing ABC Family series) because I missed it yesterday (thankfully I was able to catch Teen Wolf live!), I am browsing through online shops during commercials. And yes, that includes Ebay. Ebay has been one of my favorite online shopping sites considering all of the bargains and cheap prices that I can catch on top brand clothing/shoes. Along with my searching for cute items, I began to think and laugh about how I go about getting my clothes/shoes at an amazing price. This is for anything that I purchase online actually. My mum even asks and compliments me on how I get my stuff for a nice price instead of retail prices. I'm like, "yeah, be jealous. ;)" Haha. No, no, really. I say that.

With this thought in mind, I figure that I might as well share with you guys somethings that I do in order to catch a nice sale as well as stuff for a really good price. Let me know of any other things (that aren't on this list) that you do! I'd love to hear it.

1. NEVER buy something that has a crazy shipping fee, This is the number one rule that I live by.  You see, on ebay, an item may be ten cents (and totally cute!), but the shipping will be something like thirty something dollars. What. Pause. Repeat. Yes, I said thirty something dollars. (This actually really happened.) Yeah, I will not expect the shipping to be five dollars, but honestly. Thirty dollars? I guess it makes up for the pretty much non-existent price of the item, but the product probably is not even worth that much money! So, yeah, I'll pass.  If the shipping is more than $8, I don't get it. Point blank.
2. ASK yourself whether you want to really spend the money on the product, This is a must-do. I have actually saw a dress before that I thought I really wanted, but the next day when I looked at it again, I thought, "why did I really want this? Seriously? [insert price here] for this? Uh, no." I cannot help it, I have the cheap tendency from my mum, but whatever, it works for me in the long run (but I'm not too cheap whee I won't spend money on something that I want). If you absolutely must, just keep the tab up on the product, leave it for awhile, then once you return (or if you cannot get the thought of buying it out of your head) and you just love it still, buy it. If you are kind of iffy, then close the tab and move on. Next!
3. ALWAYS check out different sites that hosts the same style, This rule is not exactly necessary, but it is a nice one. Why? Well, one site may have an item that you really want for cheaper than another site. This because one of my rules after I bought my black-and-white skater girl dress from Debshops.com, and I found the same dress on another site. It was too late by then because I long since received my dress in the mail, but it was the point of. Honestly. I could have saved a couple of bucks, but it's whatever.  (Yes, I really love my dress. :D)
4. CHECK out sales and clearance sections, A lot of people that I know (and do not know) have a habit of thinking that "clearance" items are not cute, and are just for people who are very cheap. Erm...excuse me. Let me mentally punch those who think that in the face. Clearance items are actually just cute items that were once regular price, but are now cheaper. So stop being so stuck up, and go check out your favorite clothing store's clearance section.  You will not be able to tell me that you did not find at least one thing that you absolutely adore. Or just like. Whatever. Just go check it out people! You'll be amazed. *lame spirit fingers*
5. REFINE your options, I always refine my options so that I will not see something that I want, but cannot get. For instance, my size. I don't want to get something for a size Medium, but I'm a Large and think, "Oh, yeah. I'll totally lose that weight and I'll be able to fit into it!" Nope. We all know that most likely will not happen because I eat far too much...and exercise way too less. Oops. Instead of that, I choose the sizes that I can fit, the price max that I am willing to go up to (start cheaper, work your way up!), and where I want the items to be coming from (when on Ebay - I usually select North America). It is all up to your discretion.

Song Choice: 'Shooting Star' by Kari Kimmel is the single that played on episode #4 of The Fosters. I really love this song. Actually, I love all of Kari's music, so you should go and check it out! The reason that I chose this song is because of the lyrics and how inspirational they are, "and I know that I am beautiful, and no one can take that from me." Yeah. You should just listen to it below; I promise that you will fall in love with both the song and Kari's lovely voice.
