The 4th of July is the day to celebrate the United States Independence. And as Americans, we, of course, find amazing ways to celebrate it. Barbecues, fireworks, pool-parties, picnics, carnivals/fairs, and our fashion wear are a few ways we do it. As for our fashion wear, American flag prints can be pretty much found on anything; dresses, skirts, shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, purses/bags, shoes. Gosh, that's a lot. But it isn't any different than how we can find the United Kingdom flag on stuff, too, so I guess I should expect that. Nevertheless, the flag is on tons and you can find it in and out of stores. Don't believe me? Go check. Check a fashion website right now. I bet that you will find it. And while you do that (non-believer, thanks), I will be showing everyone else my wishlist for the Fourth of July.
1. ONLY Coral J Low Denim Flag Shorts, My obsession of distressed denim stuff goes far beyond the normal. Even though these denim shorts only portray a little distress, it is still there! Therefore, I am beyond entranced with them and I want want want.
2. Rock and Rags Bandeau Bikini Top and Blue Bikini Bottoms, Instead of having United States flag print over both the top and bottom (a little too much flag for me), I decided to match the bandeau top with simple, ruffled bikini bottoms. It is something that I would wear once I get my dream body (haha, good luck with that *Mr. Mosby's voice*). Ahhh, I can just imagine how hot I'd feel wearing that.
3. Religion T-shirt Flag, Tie-up tops are totally in right now. And with that comes my obsession with this top. I can envision myself wearing these with either blue denim shorts or boot-cut jeans, and sandals or cowboy boots. Either way, I'd be happy!
4. BP. American Flag Aviator Sunglasses, My sunglasses collection is not up to par yet, but I can tell you that I am getting there! And these Aviator shades would be a lovely, and most needed, addition. Ugh, can I please have?
5. Denim Bingham Wash Denim Vest with flag detail, There is absolutely no question as to why this is on my wishlist. Denim jackets are my best friends, lifesavers, and longtime closet additions. Without them I do not know what I would do with my life (aha, I sound like I'm getting married). This denim vest would provide a statement with it's vintage look, destroyed stars & stripes, and fringed edges. Can I say want, or will you just get it for me? ;)
6. Roper American Flag Snip Toe, Cowgirl boots are something that have not yet reached my closet. I can't tell you that I haven't tried, though! (Unless my suede booties that resemble that count. (/.\)) I just have not found the one pair that I reallllyyy want. I want something that I would love to strut around it. And I believe that these could be it. Well, it would be a nice addition. But maybe, just maybe, I should get a neutral pair to fill that roll before I get some so bold.....haha, that's funny. I am bold, so why wait?
7. Bag Flag, A perfect beach accessory is what this oversized bag would be lovely for. I could store everything from my latest book copy (The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky) to my iPad Mini to my makeup essentials (lipgloss and lip balm) to a beach towel. The list is endless (not really, the bag isn't that big, but you get my point).
Song Choice: 'Your Body Is A Wonderland' by John Mayer. Yes, yes, I am aware of how the song is so 2001, but I just heard it again after so many years, and I fell in love with it once again. I remember being a kid and hearing the song. Haha, it brought back memories when I heard it. Therefore, it is my song choice for today. Enjoy!
