The weather has finally dropped down from seventy degrees to around forty/fifty. I think that this is the nonofficial indicator that autumn is officially here. {That's if the official autumnal equinox didn't tip you off.} At this very moment, I am bundled up in my new favorite sweater (the one that I bought from H&M in California), a white scarf, some leggings, and knee-high socks. Oh, how I've missed these days. {I bet I wouldn't have said that nine months ago.}
If you have been an avid reader of this blog, I am pretty sure you are aware of my addiction to sweaters by now. And if you did not know that {or are new - hi!}, now you do. Sweaters are my best friends. They go with pretty much everything, and I'm not putting that lightly. Pull-over sweaters, oversized sweaters, button-up sweaters - they can be worn with/over skirts, shirts, dresses, jeans, sweatpants, other sweaters. Guys! How can anyone not love sweaters?!
The next best thing after sweaters are coats. My favorite coats are neutral. But sometimes I just want to pair my outfit with an outstanding shade: blue, pink, green, red. At times, it's that pop of color that can spice up any outfit. {TIP: When it's cooler, you want a good coat to wear because it's the first thing that everyone will see.}
I'm also becoming more and more interested in makeup, y'all! Watch out for future posts regarding some of the makeup that I am wearing on a day-to-day basis. {I found the perfect wine colored, matte lipstick. It's long lasting, too!} I cannot really see this blog turning into an overload of fashion and makeup, but I can see sporadic posts concerning each of its own.
What are some of your favorite wears for the fall? Do you have anything fun that you enjoy wearing? Or what about a new fave?
More set inspiration. Hey, hey, hey. I can officially say that I have survived the first week of school. It's Friday now, and I am plenty excited to sleep in tomorrow, and not have anything to do (aside from watching reruns of Friends, How I Met Your Mother, and Full House). I can already feel myself slipping into 'don't-really-care' syndrome that I experience every school year (essentially me not caring what the heck I wear to school because it's too much of a hassle). However, I want to try and not get into it so quickly. This means more shopping for me (yippee!) Anyhoo, how has your week been? I hope it was fabulous!
For now, I am going to share with you some more fall pieces that I have come up with. Enjoy your Friday, y'all! You may (or may not) see me around these parts this weekend. Don't look for me! ;) Haha.
Song Choice: 'Stutter' by Marianas Trench. I truly adore this song. There is no exaggeration coming from me here. Just click play below.
Hey, hey, hey, guys! It's Labor Day weekend, so I really don't know why I'm not out by the pool, sipping Lemonade (I'm still under 21, guys), and eating BBQ at a party. Yeah...nope. Instead, I am watching How I Met Your Mother on Netflix (I'm late to finding out that I like this show) while creating outfits on Polyvore. Oh, and my mum is outside BBQing because she has to work tomorrow. It's the life. ;) Anyways, I am creating so many outfits on Polyvore today, so I figured I'd show you all some of my favorites. If you want to see it all, go fly to my sets. Go, shoo. :)
Are you on Polyvore? Leave your link (or username) below, and I will follow you! :) Have a fab Labor Day weekend, eat tons, and don't think about this as the *unofficial end of summer.
Song Choice: 'That Man' by Caro Emerald. I love love love this woman and her music. I think you need to press play below - see what I'm talking about.
Over the past week, I put together these eight outfits that would work perfectly for the upcoming autumn season. Out of all of these, I really like the sixth outfit - it's very...different for me - bold yet subtle. Which set do you prefer? If you want to see more outfit inspirations, follow me on Polyvore.
Song Choice: 'The Climb' by Miley Cyrus. I am not going to mention her VMA's performance (which was...outrageous and distasteful (only because she's engaged and Robin Thicke is married). But I'm just going to say that this is one of my fave songs by her. It has a lovely meaning, and here voice - ohgosh, she has real talent.
