The Killers and MAGIC! are two bands than I am unabashedly in amor with. The liveliness of their bands, the greatness of their music, and the awesomeness of their albums put me in a fruitful peace of mind, where I can just listen and listen and listen to their bands, non-stop. The Killers {I am not sure whether I've spoken about them on this blog before} are a rock band than have put out songs such as "Mr. Brightside" and "Jenny Was A Friend of Mine." Now, MAGIC! is a much more recent band that recently released their newest album, Don't Kill the Magic, which is pretty puny to me. {Which is exactly why I love it.}
Although The Killers have a new album (Battle Born), I want to talk about my favorite album of theirs, which is Hot Fuss. This album has given me some music to wake up to on a Saturday morning, relax to on a Sunday afternoon, and chill out to on "those" days throughout the week. {By "those" I am referring to annoying days.} My favorite song is probably the most well-known song off of the album, but, of course, that's why it is so well-known. "Mr. Brightside" is such a catchy tune that I could play at any time, and even people that do not know of The Killers will start to dance to it. Killer tune. {Hehehe, these puns are too easy.}
I am aware that MAGIC! has been out for awhile (just not really in the U.S.). Regardless to that, I am glad that I found them when I did. I had ample time to fan-girl over their single "Rude," and gladly did not grow sick of it by hearing it be overplayed on the radio. Y'know that time between you discovering a band/artist that hardly anyone knows of and then BOOM! The entire world knows? That's how it was like for me and my discovery of MAGIC! When I came to California, I was really addicted to them, and everyone here was more, "Who the heck? No, what?" But now...but NOW, guess what? WHY YOU GOTTA BE SO RUUUUUDE is the only thing I hear. I'm not complaining though, so carry on. ;)
