Dance Like Nobody Is Watching

I forgot how much fun dancing can be.
I finally remembered yesterday.  Every week, one of the mentors (David) hosts a mini-dance workshop.

Week 1: Salsa
Week 2: Bollywood
Week 3: Latin-Themed

I wanted to attend the former two, but I did not get a chance to (read: I am a lazy person). But the most recent one (Latin), I decided to get off of the couch and do something with my life. Thus, I am now a proud girl who can say that she knows how to Bachata, Merengue, and Line Dance. How the latter got introduced into the session is unbeknownst to me (because hello! it is obviously not a Latin based dance), but I'll take it because I've been wanting to dance for awhile.

Obviously I am not the greatest Bachata, Merengue, or Line Dancer out there, but I'm glad that I took the mini-workshop. It was extremely fun! We learned spins, partner dance steps, and solo dance steps. After learning those dances, I kind of want to take some type of dance class when I return back to Michigan. Sure, I was super tired afterward (jeez, I'm really out of shape), but I felt pretty darn good.

Getting outside and dancing made me feel so free and happy. I haven't actually danced like that in the longest, guys! I miss it. To dance like nobody is watching is the best feeling in the entire world. And to do that with your friends (Hey, Rayonna, Erika, Judy, Shelly, and Noah!) is even better.  I feel as if everybody that is physically able (yes, including you) should make it a priority to just dance everyday like nobody is watching.  I think that people would be overall happier if they took the time out of their day to  do that. That's what I'm planning to do at least.
